I have a CM3000 and ordered a Fortin Key-Override-SL2
Since the CM3000 doesn't have a data-link plug I was trying to think of an easier way to connect the ground and the 12v to the Key-Override-SL2.
Is it possible to take a 4pin connector that fits onto CN9 of the CM3000, and cut the one end off, use pin 1 and 3 to connect to the 12v and ground wire of the data link plug?
I already have the CM3000 installed, so this would save time rather than cutting into the 12v and ground wire. In theory I believe this should work, as long as a plug being connected to the "CN9 - Remote Paging System" on the CM3000 doesn't have any bad affects.
Thanks
Ryan

Decided to just go for it, I couldn't see why I would not work. I am happy to report worked fine! I think its a much easier way then having to tap into 12v and ground. It keeps less connections from the vehicle and everything a little bit cleaner.
