i've got one last question: on the blue wire (trunk/instant trigger) on the main brain i have the following connected:
507m diode isolated
i still need to tie in my existing trunk pin switch on my 2004 subaru sti. i believe that will need to be diode isolated as well. direction of the diode will need to be towards the trunk pin switch correct?
the only problem i see here is that the wire i will be tapping for the trunk pin switch is the wire from the trunk pin switch to the trunk light. see the attached diagram on the link im referring to. its the bottom left diagram.

I've changed the diagram to show you. A89_diodes.bmp

thanks howie just looking at the diagram. the only difference i see in my installation is that one of the sensors ties into the orange wire that the 530t is also tied into. so the orange GWA is tied into both the 530t and the 507m.

alright just fixed the 530t by reversing the diode and the windows rollup when armed now. thanks alot! i understand how the diodes work now just gotta pay attention to whats an output and input. once i realized the flow then the orientation of the diode makes sense. thanks!

No, no, no!!!!
Orange GWA ONLY goes to the 530t!   My mistake in the diagram, the two thin orange wires should be green! That's the wires coming from the sensor.
You're quite right, learn the direction of the current flow and you will understand diodes.

Howie,
see the attached link for the 507m tilt sensor i installed:
507M Instructions
i followed these instructions and connected the orange wire from the sensor to the GWA orange wire on the alarm brain as well but diode isolated. so currently i have the 507m and the 530t connected to the orange GWA. i have flipped the diode on the 530t and it is working as intended. i havent flipped the diode on the 507m yet but will do it soon.
am i right? or is there something im missing.
thanks,
Chris

No the orange was correct, I simply ground the black wires coming from the sensors, it's optional 2 use either. Using the orange to ground them is more "proper".

okay so all i really need to do is flip the diode on the 507m and then it will receive a ground when armed and everything should work fine?

Yes. This is hopefully the final version:- 3F4_diodes.bmp
