After installing a Viper 5901 with an Xpresskit XK09 DLPKGM on my 06 Silverado 2500HD Diesel. Once in a while when I remote start the truck it starts and turns off in about 3 seconds. I then hit the remote start button again on the keyfob so the alarm thinks I shut down the remote start otherwise the truck will not start even with the key.  When the truck turns off after the 3 seconds I get a CEL with "U0101 Loss of Communication with TCM"  I sometimes clear the code and sometimes I just drive off with the CEL on and truck shift fine.  Below is my current wiring.  Not sure whats going on, any help would be greatly. appreciated.

The connections you listed seem fine in print... The fact that it does start and then shuts off sounds like an immobilizer bypass issue in this case the xk module not doing it's job correctly. In some cases even though DEI says you don't need to you can try also hooking up the power and ground in the separate harness not just having it come from the d2d harness. Using them both helps to prevent excessive current draw and voltage drops. Check to make sure ALL connections are making good connections to each wire. If the problem continues then I would try re-flashing the firmware to the XK module and or replacing it.

Thank you for the info.  To verify what you mentioned, I should relocate the "green" (-) Ground and the "black" (+)12V off the D2D cable from the 5901 and run it directly to ground and 12v from truck.  I'll give that a try.
