hello i think you are not holding the valet switch too long
you have to wait until it gives you the 3 crirps you may have
to hold it for a at least 5 to 10 seconds
ok good luck

Like I said I can hold it for a minute and all it does is go into valet mode once I release the button.    It might not solve the problem but I ordered a bitwritter.   I was going to order anyways so hopefully I can program it that way.

Leave the ignition turned on. Shouldn't turn the ignition off until you have changed your programming options.

^Nope. That's only to enter valet mode. You need to have the ignition on to due any other programming, the last step is to shut the ingition off.

I guess the wording on the instructions is wrong, I'm headed out to give it a try!
P.S. Clarence I said in my first post I am grounding the green wire already

Well thanks everyone I hate to admit it but I figured out the problem, when I was prepping the wiring and the molex connectors I must of somehow switched the Green & violet wire locations on the molex so I wasn't actually grounding out the green wire! Doh!
