remote automatic windows closer

Hello everyone ;] it would be interesting to hear your opinion about this idea. I want to upgrade my alarm system in the car, main idea is to control all 4 windows. Sometimes you just leave windows open after leaving car, i want to make remote windows cotrol system on alarm circuit. ie: you push remote button "lock" once it will lock car but if you push button "lock" twice it will close all windows (it doesnt matter if it's opened or closed signal will be transmited in both situacions, because car have curency detection in window motors and i dont have to worry about crushing glass or breaking motors). here is circuit: if it's possible to do ? what you would upgrade and change in it ? Thanks for replays. http://postimage.org/image/8v9az7vo/ Main idea of this circuit is to take alaram output signal which is for locking doors to uC pic12F675 and with uC manipulate car windows buttons via optrons. Optron connects directly to windows buttons.

Any alarm with a second lock output or armed output can be be made to do this using something like the DEI 529t for close only or the 530t for close and vent. Some vehicles with comfort close e.g. BMW can do this + roof and cabriolet depending on year without any closer units being required. Depends on your alarm, never heard of it and your car which you haven't listed.

What vehicle? Are you SURE the motors have built in current detection and that the current detection is not in the OEM switch (that will be bypassed). Depending on the relay you use you may need transistors between the uC and the relays. You are showing an optically isolated triac - not sure if that is the component I would use - a simple SPDT relay will be more then enough - just make sure you amplify the output pin. Also, why two voltage regulators? Seems like you are using one of them just to step down the 12vdc output from the alarm? If so, why not use a transistor? What is the 12v out of the alarm? I've never seen an alarm with a 12vdc output - they are typically 200ma (-) outputs. Kevin Pierson

Kevin, yet another trying to re-invent sliced bread! As I said before perfectly good devices already exist for this function. I've been doing this on for instance BMW, Vauxhall-Opel, Minis, Jaguar, Mercedes, all vehicles with built in comfort close since the early 90s. Incidentally they don't look like "normal" window switches to me especially as on a modern car you may have data, trigger, rest at ground, rest at live rest at open circuit etc.
