I am fitting a Autowatch alarm to my 2002 VW T4 van. It is an upgrade alarm as I already have factory remote entry so wanted to use the original fobs with the transponder chip in them. Anyway as the upgrade alarm uses the indicator signals to help arm the alarm I need to hook up the alarm indicator wires to my park lights so there is some visual flashing when the alarm is triggered and for programming - Do I need to add Diodes to the factory park light wires behind the switch and the alarm wires so that neither the alarm or the factory switch could get a double signal if I one day left my park lights on and the alarm was to trigger. I was thinking that atleast this way hopefully only the bulbs would blow due to seeing two 12v imputs (one from the factory switch and one from the alarm) - am I looking at this correctly alarm -- posted image.
Thanks
