Here is a link to the DEI wiring guide :  http://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?make=Subaru&model=Outback

Vehicle has one Ignition, two Starter and two Accessory circuits.  The Viper can directly handle only 4 of those.  Program the Vipers Flex Relay for Starter 2.  Use the (-) 200mA Accessory Output to control an extra relay with 20A fuse for Accessory2.

556UW with extra key for the transponder bypass.  ( or Fortin TB-Subaru2 with dealer scan tool or iDatalink ADS AL-CA with registered  user access to the KLON process or a "key wrap" with a relay)

If the Outback has the Factory Alarm, you could set up relays to pulse the Ignition wire, Keysense wire and the transponder to disarm or you could use a module ( like the Fortin EVO-CAN or iDatalink ADS DLSL-CA2 ) to handle the locks, alarm, trunk and provide a tach signal ( or you might be able to just turn off the factory alarm system - check the owners manual ).

The Body Integrated Unit, to the right of the steering column under the dash, provides easy access to most of the necessary wires.  The ignition switch harness has the ignition wires.

Soldering is fun!

Kreg 357,
I will be looking to do a R/S in 2011 Outback. From your write up, All I need is a spare key in box for the transponder bypass and pulse the ignition, keysense and transponder(if alarmed),correct?

Yes, that should do it.  I use a bypass module that handles the Factory Alarm thru the Can Bus.

If you don't disable the Factory Alarm and it is armed, you will get one long beep from the remote start up before it turns itself off.

Soldering is fun!

Doing it through the can bus requires a dealer tool, right?

If you have a spare valet key, use a 556UW or similar "key-in-the-box" universal bypass module.  Then use a CAN module like the ADS DLSL CA2.  No scan tool needed.

You could use the Fortin EVO-Can or EVO-All and do a key wrap with the valet key.  This would eliminate the 556UW.    No scan tool needed.   https://ifar.ca/en/download/3798/preview.html

The dealer scan tool would be necessary for a transponder bypass module like the Fortin TB-Subaru2 module.

The other choice is going to an authorized iDatalink dealer and getting an ADS AL-CA module with the KLON ADS AL(TB) SUB firmware programmed for your car.  A transponder bypass solution with no dealer scan tool and no key under the dash.

Soldering is fun!
