I have two 12" Audiobahn subs that can handle 700 watts RMS a piece. I also have one Audiobahn amp that pushes 560 watts RMS. I was wonering if I could turn up the amp to max power without blowing out the subs? I blew two of the same type subs out before but now I have the amp only at half power & filled the box 1/4 - 1/2 full with pillow poly fill(?) and it has been pushing for nearly two years. The one problem I do have is that the amp will shut off after 20 minutes of use because I have the subs bridged at 1 ohm and the amp is suppose to operate at no less than 2 ohms. Holla Back, anybody!!!

What Audiobahn amp do you have? The way you posted makes is seem like you have Class D mono amp, and that you are only pushing apx 230 watts to each 700 watt sub. If that's the case, then you're seriously underpowering the subs. Even if you have a Class AB pushing 560x2, you're still about 140 watts shy of where you could (should) be.
What type of enclosure are you using (sealed, ported, bandpass, etc...)?
You obviously know that your amp is not 1ohm stable, so why are you still running it at 1ohm? Eventually you're gonna fry the amp, and potentially damage the subs as well. Are you using two 4ohm DVC's or two 2ohm SVC's to get to the 1ohm load?
