hi there, just in the middle of installing a r/s into a 2001 ford taurus and am trying to locate the  factory arm and disarm wires. Info i have is disarm is pink/white at the GEM. I think I have found this wire, however this wire seems to be at 8 volts at rest, and does not change when i press the unlock button on the factory fob, or turning the key in the drivers side lock.

can anyone verify this wire or is there another way of testing it. also looking for the factory arm wire if applicable

Thank-you in advance

You can find your Disarm, Locks, and Door pins @ the bottom left of the GEM module. Its in the left connector facing down toward the floor. When you are testing for disarm, you need to test by turning the key in the drivers door. pressing the key fob won't do it. Also, there is no arm wire. To arm this car the door has to be open while pressing the door panels lock button. So, since you would already have the lock wire from the remote start to the lock wire in the car, you will only need to add the rearm wire to the drivers door pin wire. which is also at the GEM module, same plug.
