2011 impreza tach wire, transponder?

Where do you get tach signal in a 2011 Impreza hatchback?

And do all 2011 Impreza's have a key transponder? I turn on the ignition in the car and there isn't a key icon that lights up in the cluster.

Tachometer         Gray/Red  (ac)              @ instrument cluster, white 40 pin plug, pin 32

Can also be found at any Fuel Injector, non-common color wire.  Test with DMM.

Try wrapping the ignition key-head with several layers of aluminum foil, then try to start the car.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I tried going to an injector but couldn't find them, these Subaru engines are set up quite unusual, to me anyway.

Another Q, is it necessary to fire up the 2nd Acc wire? I tested and the blower only needs Acc 1 to come on, Acc 2 had no effect on the blower, but is it needed for remote starting?

The older models were easy going to the Coil Pack mounted on top of the intake. 

The newer ones are harder because the cylinder heads are covered up with metalshields.  Here is a photo from a 2010 Forester 2.5 Non-Turbo.  BROWN / Yellow wire.

The connector is on the passenger side under the air intake tube.  

I typically power all the ignition wires.   Just means wiring an extra relay.

ACC 2 will often power things like the radio and wipers on Japanese cars, I don't believe it's involved in starting the car; quick test, see if that wire stays "hot" during cranking. I also agree with the poster ref. finding the tach, I've always gone to the rear of the gauge cluster on Subies although the earlier models (pre 2000) STILL used a mechanical speedo drive and were a PITA to replace. An alternative for tach might be the engine management ECU, you would have to know the pin-outs.
