diode

hi i got a question cause i see an installer doing it,its possible to use a diode instead  to use a relay for second acc second ign or second start wire,its this right or wrong to do ?

You should keep all OEM isolated wires isolated. By using a diode (assuming it's big enough to safely pass the current required) you would be compromising the isolation of the wires. A relay should be used to prevent any current from flowing from one wire to the other.Kevin Pierson

thanks for reply me but my question was ,sometimes installers  they used to  wire a relay for a 2  acc, 2 ign,or 2 starter, instead  to wire a relay   some installers  use a diode on this kind of aplication ,kind to put the diode on the wire  that needs to be power up to the acc,ign or stater thanks ,its this right to do?or a relay its the right way to go?
