There is installed a Viper 5501 and Idatalink bypass in my 2007 Mazda 5. In the morning when the car is cold I start it up, it runs for 3 seconds and shutt off, it tries cuple times to start up until finished the cycle,(it takes about one minute). In other hand when the engine was running and it is hot the Viper remote starter works fine but the doors keep unlocked. I need some advise because the cold is here and I really need the remote starting working.

Thanks a lot.

Try relearning the tach signal to a higher rpm. Cold engine starts the RPMs are higher therefore the remote start thinks its over revving and shutting down

I don't have the install guide with me but check the download section on this site it should be there.if not I have in my tool box at my house I could get it later. I believe its start the car with the key and hold the programming button till the led lights up but don't quote me on that     make sure when you learn the tach signal you bring your RPMs up a little I usually set mine at like 1100

The steps to learn the tach are:
Start the engine.
Within 5 seconds, hold down the button on the "command center".
In 3 seconds, it should turn the LED on and flash your lights once.
If over-rev is your problem, I would suggest that after you start the engine, bring the RPMs up slightly (with the gas pedal) to ensure it learns the increased engine speed.
