If I am upfiring in a hatchback, would it be better to let it hit the wind and roll or would it be better to make a 3/4" MDF kind of liner that the bass would hit and. Im' kinda meaning like putting the MDF over the window on the inside, (hopefully that makes sense.

It would help us help you if we knew what kind of vehicle you have.

I was leaving that out, because knowing what it is and not seeing it, you will laugh,,,,,,,,,,,, but it is a 93 Hyundai Excel.

something personal to me, I am really old school, because back in the early 90's a friend had one that was walled with 2-15's and 4-10's, so this is like my poor man's project car for my kids, we had it painted and did the entire interior, lowered it and put on some Oz wheels, we had 2-10's for a while but are now upgrading to 2-15's upfiring to the hatch. this is first phase, and just wondering if wood would give a better sound than glass for the bass to hit on first? these are JL Audio sub's along with a JL audio 1000.1 amp

the next phase will be an additional 8-10's but thats another year away, and yes I have done the big three and al going with a PowerBasturds Fitzall 200amp alternator.

I am very familiar with that vehicle.  Fire it into the glass.

will do, may try both if I don't like what I get into the glass, but from your opinion I will go with the glass, just finished running the 2 gage from the battery, did the big 3 with a second 4gage, circut breaker up front, and fused in the back, 4 gage to the amps, ground location has zero ohm load and 2-4gage connections to the chassis so that will work, just waiting for the subs and amp to get here by end of the week
