I am installing a Viper 5701 into a 2011 Ford Escape with the 80 bit key. I will be using the PKTX but don't know what install manual to follow. The one that came with the PKTX is very different from the updated one that appears to be for the Ford Focus (this appears when you select SA key for Escape) on the Xpresskit website. I am mainly confused about the pink wire on the bypass. The Focus based method has me connecting it to Keysense and Ignition 2. The wire colors are different on the install guide as far as the ignition wires at the plug compared to the Escape in front of me. The manual that came with the bypass says to hook the pink wire to pin 1 of the small plug at the ignition barrel that has the TX and RX wires and makes no mention of the ignition 2 and keysense wires. Any ideas?? BTW the manual that came with the bypass was revised on 11/25 of 2011.

I would always use the manual that you find on XpressKit's website they are the most up to date.

Think you should use this install guide and the Type 3 instructions for your 2011 Escape.
