i put this in almost a year ago. its been great. but a couple weeks ago i noticed when i would disarm the truck it would chirp twice and then pause and chirp a 3rd time. ok now that is weird, but also the remote will beep twice and then a few seconds later beep twice etc etc etc while im using the remote start. it does this till i get in the car and turn the key and hit the brake.
everything works fine. at first i thought it was trying to tell me the batt was going low so i replaced the battery in the remote and still the same thing.
so i figure its trying to tell me something but i cant find anything on this.
any thoughts?

look in the manual to see what the chirps indicate.

i had taken the battery out of the 1 way remote and it worked but still beeped so i thought it couldnt be the battery.....
found out the 2way has to have TWO of the 2016's to work right. put two in today, and its all good.

Yeah it's generally a good idea to replace the battery with the same as what was originally in it. Crazy concept I know.... Who would have thought?
