Hello, first time posting on this site, but I did look for similar troubles regarding my particular issue and did not find any results of any value. So... I have mostly put together this system getting as far as the system will crank the motor but it will not turn it over. It has the WHITE/ pink wire as a starter wire (no anti-theft)and yet no luck. I have ran the recommended relay for the factory alarm disarm, and still the same results. The module is set to see the voltage change to know it's started. I do NOT have a tach wire hooked up since I don't believe with this setup this is necessary. I can give more info if it is needed, but any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Still no dice, same results. I have set the van to crank the starter for a full second just to be sure it's cranking long enough to catch ignition. Only thing I am concerned about is I have used Bulldog remote starters prior and decided since this kit was a few bucks more, why not get the better product? Anyways, Bulldogsecurity.com has a wiring diagram that shows an ignition 1 and 2 but no 3; and 2 accessory wires, yet on this site it shows it has ignition1, 2, and 3,and only one accessory wire. I don't see why this would make a difference as the accessories and ignition power should all be running at the same time anyways. Please help!!

Since it has not yet been asked: Have you tried leaving a key in the ignition in the off position and trying again? Some sites list a transponder in the key for the 98 Windstar. If it starts and runs you need a bypass.
Edit: Tedmond asked one minute ago :)
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Don't believe so, it's not the thick ford key, it's the very thin one, very narrow and thin just as the one here: http://www.am-autoparts.com/Ford/Windstar/IgnitionKeyLockCylinder/AM-39714906/485865.html I don't remember if the key was in once the tach was hooked up, so I will give it a shot though!

silly question, do you have all three of the heavy gauge red wires going to 12volt constant?

That key most likely does not have an immobilizer. But try it anyways. First try starting with the key just in the ignition. If that doesn't work then turn the key 1 click and try again. If it starts then you are missing an accessory (most likely not though). Finally turn it 2 clicks and try the remote start again. If it starts then you are missing an ignition wire or one of your 12v inputs are not getting voltage.

D'OH!!!! Amongst all the unnecessary wires this thing doesn't need, one of the biggest, brightest wires were just hanging there doing nothing... was the problem!!
Thank you very much for your help, please excuse my innocence to these Viper systems, but I suppose it's required to be installed by professionals for a reason, although I can now say I am relatively experienced now... but not ready for another one to do for a while! Thanks again for all your help!
