This is for a 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ.
Currently upgrading the headlight wiring harness to 10 gauge. I'm using 30 amp relay for low beam and 40 amp for high.
I know a dual 87 pin relay would work but don't have on me.
I was thinking of using an 8 gauge butt connector. Twist together both low beams and crimp to one end of the butt connector. Then come out the other side of the butt connector with a singe 10 gauge to the relay using 10 gauge quick disconnect female spade. Will this also work.
Thanks

Don't use butt connectors, use SOLDER! But yes, that should work.

Didn't think about solder. Guess I was over thinking the setup.
Now I have to locate a ceramic h4 connector that I can put together.

Good luck, but remember, if you try an cheap out, you're going to spend more and something WILL go wrong, I have done it myself a couple of times and it is not worth it!

Has any used 4 relays? One for each low and high beam.    Someone indicated it might be a better setup.   way if a relay goes bad, I only loose one instead of both.
I have plenty 87 and 87a relay in both 30 and 40 amps.
Problem is find the correct location under the hood for this setup. Not too much space under the hood of an XJ cherokee.
