So I installed a Viper 5704 (replacement for 5901) this weekend. I have everything working except the door locks. The unlock wire is normally open, when the unlock is pressed on the remote it pulses to ground. The lock wire comming from the alarm is the exact opposite. I followed the dei 1070 diagram to contol the locks, but in order for this to work I need a - pulse from my alarm during the lock command. Does anyone know how I can change the lock pulse to work for my needs?

From the quick reference guide.

The unlock wire is (-) 500ma
The lock wire is (-) 500ma

If you look up your vehicle in bulldogsecurity wire info section, they give a nice diagram of what you need to do and what wire colors are in the vehicle.

The wiring is the same as the dei 1070 document I used. The trigger wire from the alarm won't activate the relay. If I manually ground the relay ( to simulate the alarm) the door locks. Is it possible the brain might be bad?

you could try using the arm wire from the viper to trigger the relay, should be GREEN / WHITE

You sir are the man. I don't know why I didn't think to try that sooner. I'm still going to call in the morning to find out why the lock isn't sending a (-). Atleast I have another solution.
