wiring my aftermarket headlights

i recently change my headlights on my es8 civic. the original bulbs were h4 but this one come with two h1 bulbs one for high and one for low. when i turn on the high beam the low beam comes of i think this is the way it is suppose to work. is there any way i could wire this for both lamps to come on when i turn on the high beam.

A diode (IN4004 etc) from the hibeam relay coil with the diode's line towards the lowbeam relay coil.
