Hello everyone! I'm in stalling a Viper 5704 remote start into a 2002 Chevy S10 Blazer and I need a little help with a few items:

1.For the power locks can I connect the alarm directly to the light blue and white wire at the BCM or will I need relays like the DEI451M?

2.Should I wire the OEM alarm disarm and arm wires or the disarm only?

3.If I wire the domelight supervision wire to the LF door trigger do I need to use a relay there or diode isolate. Would I be better off hooking up to the interior light by the steering wheel with a relay?

Thanks for any help, Jack.

1) If the unit has dual polarity lock outputs (switch wires for positive output) then you can try connecting them straight to the light blue and white wires. But chances are you will need the 451m to control the (+) locks.
2) Do you have a factory alarm? If not then don't worry about it; if you do and you don't care about having it arm with the aftermarket remote than don't worry about the factory arm. Still connect disarm so you don't have to worry about the alarm accidentally going off.
3) You shouldn't have to worry about the domelight supervision. I'm pretty sure that the BCM will automatically turn on the domelight when the doors are unlocked. You can test it by watching the light when locking / unlocking the vehicle with the remote.

Ahhh... I wasn't aware of the domelight supervision being off when started. I guess a connection is required.

The reason they dropped the flip flops is they were sick of having to tell the fools to install conditioning diodes every time they fed to a processor or relay because of back feeds. And of course they sell more 451s

The install is going good and I am hoping to get this wrapped up tonight. The door locks worked our great using the 451m. For the dome light supervision I am planning on using pin A3 which is the gray/black wire on the BCM that controls the courtesy lamp relay. When I ground this pin I can hear the relay under the dash click and the dome light comes on. Is it ok to run the dome light supervision wire directly to this since it seems to just be a relay trigger or do I need to hook up a relay?

Run it directly but use a diode, 1N4004 in line, band towards 5704.
