I was going thru my wiring trying to clean up the unused stock speaker wires and I noticed that the stock ignition wire (12 volt switched) is missing and a wire was ran from a fuse instead, how can i fix this or add a wire the correct way? My car is a 2000 Monte Carlo if that helps

It's there. It is a data controlled wire which is why it wont work for an aftermarket deck. That is the reason for the wire from the fuseblock. Your chimes probably dont work either, right?

Yea the chimes don't work, so what's the best way to use an aftermarket deck in my car, would running a 12 volt switch to a relay work?

Both Metra and Scosche make the interface modules that would eliminate you having to run a switched wire from the fuse box.
Metra GMRC-01 would let you retain the chimes and give you a switched wire at the harness unless you have a BOSE system in which case you would use a GMOS-04.
