2011 fusion rear deck

Hello all I have a 2011 fusion and there are cut outs for 6x9 speakers I want to put a pair in there and was wondering what my options are as far as hooking them up to the stock unit any help would be great.

do you have speakers in each door as well? do you mean that there are holes already cut out in the metal of your back deck and you want to put some speakers in those holes? if you already have 4 speakers in your car and they all play then it isnt a good idea to just add two more speakers onto the stock deck. the stock deck is only supposed to run 4 speakers and adding two more can possibly damage the radio. if you want to add more speakers then you need an amp in order to drive the extra speakers

It is possible to do. There are speaker wires at the B-pillar that you can tap into. That being said, you will drop the impedance lower than the deck can handle and risk damaging it. You could also disconnect the rear door speakers and route the signal to your new rear deck speakers.

Hello soundnsecurity yes the holes are already there i wanted to add 2 more to the back deck using the stock unit the speakers I was looking at are 2ohm speakers not sure what the stock ones arethese are the ones I was thinking of INFINITY KAPPA 692.9i 6x9

so it the stock speakers are 4 ohm could I replace the ones in the rear doors with 2 ohm and put the 6x9's in the rear deck that are also 2 ohm would that work with out damaging the head unit?

Most HUs are only capable of driving a 4ohm load. Anything lower than that and you risk damage to the HU. Use an amp if you want all 6 speakers.

yea it would work but the speakers, especially the kappas, would be very underpowered if you ran them from the stock radio.
