motorcycle relay wiring

Im actually trying to rig up a license plate bracket that flips down when the bike is started, and back up when the bike is off. I know I am only going to have about a 3/4" travel with the actuator, that part I am working on (maybe a self closing hinge?) Anyway I am trying to do it as cheap as possible, just something I want to try to enhance my knowledge on wiring.

Have you checked the legality of that? It would definitely be illegal here.

Your probably right. This might call for a circular or flap mechanism with a pair of 528t timers instead of the secondary relays

And of course there is no manual trigger for manual activation.... It is of course number-plate anti-theft security device. (Maybe with an occasional open circuit... don't you just hate those intermittent faults!)

does the rear vent wing actuator on a dodge caravan have built in limit switches?

if so, that might be a good one.
