I have a transceiver -- it has no "remote on" output -- it has 12volt +/- -- What I want t do is when I turn on the transceiver, a relay is triggered (to power up an amplifier)
I tried putting a 12v relay "in line" with the transceiver, but it used too much power and the transceiver didn't fully power up.
Any ideas?
thanks

Thanks; but that relies on speaker output to trigger it, no?

Does the Tranciever have an on off switch that clicks or just a pushbutton?

I would solder a tap off the switch to power a cube relay.

If you are powering it with AC Voltage here is another way
