I have a 2002 Ford Ranger. Putting in a remote start/keyless system. No alarm to worry about. The output on the module is (-) 200ma programmable output to be used for the horn. The wiring diagram that I have, reads the horn wire is Yellow/Light Green(-) at steering column harness. I did find the wire, but it reads 12v until I energize the horn. Would hooking this up to the module short it out? Something does not sound right.
Thanks, Mike

Ground that wire, the horn will sound, connect (-) horn output from your R/S, job done.
Do you want a page of explanations why your horn relay sits at (+) rest?
Read my by-line, the part that says TEST.

This is the circuit, what you're measuring is the relay feed back between 86 and 85 on the factory horn relay, that's what happens when they don't diode the relay to save 1 cent.
