Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew what type of window system a 2001 Toyota Corolla has: A, B, or C? I am attempting to install the autopage ac 78 window module to the rs 665 2w remote start alarm. I went to the dealer, and the service manager told me that is was not type B, but he was not sure.

Type A negative at rest BUT go to the motor wires in each window, like most Japanese, it's probably data switched at the driver's door.

Every Japanese /Korean vehicle uses type "A", but many use data signalling from the driver's door switch, e.g. Nissan, Toyota, Mits. hence "go to the motor wires".

OK, if I wanted to connect another window module, would I need to diode isolate the orange (neg output when armed) wire to the alarm? Also, would I need to find a different ground so that it is not in the same place as the other module ground? I know I need to connect directly to the battery with an in-line fuse within 12 inches as well as the fuse already connected to the module. Would I need to diode isolate anything else?

2001 corollas on my side of the world are negative at rest systems, and can be done in the driver's door.
