I gotta put a RS on an 07 Avalon...any tips or tricks for me to remember?  I generally don't like toyotas....

All I am adding is a single button starter and from the app guide here, it appears the easiest for what I am doing is the Key Override SL2.....comments??

KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 PATS data bypass kit for Ford, Mecury, Lincoln, Mazda, Toyota & Lexus. 5 simple T-connections at the ignition column, no wires to cut. Self learning, no additional programming required, no key required

Thanks guys & gals.

Toyota's do not respond to the Factory FOB's ( unlock, trunk ) while the engine is running.  A single button R/S that has the added capability to also unlock the doors is the minimum unit to install.
Soldering is fun!

I agree with kreg. Unlock at a minumum, but it's only two more wires to add lock and trunk.
Don't offer your customer horn-honk with lock/unlock. The horn is weird in this car; there's no way to make a brief "chirp" kind of honk, even when pushing the horn button on the steering wheel. You get your choice of nothing, or a loud blast, depending on how long you press for.
Also, the tech sheet will say "do not use" for positive parking lights, but it's a lie. Bottom plug at driver's fuse box has brake (blue I think?) and parking lights (should be tan).

Thanks guys for the info & sorry for such long delays.  I was involved in an accident and had to get thrown into back surgery and have been down.

Am I good going with the Override SL-2 module for this car?  This is what I see it's calling for....door locks are simple (-) activation so I should be good there.  Any other info for the Toyota is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!

Simple install, you won't have any issues other than the parking lights Chris describes. 40bit immobilzer means easy bypass install....

The all is more versatile. It will work on more cars out of the box. It would not help you at all on your Avalon.
