dball bypass 2003 civic

Hello, I am trying to program the DBALL to a 2003 Honda Civic coupe to an Autopage RS 665 remote start alarm. I flashed the module with the 401.HONDA4 v2.15 firmware via the xk loader 2. However, when I attempted to program the module, the red led light was flashing instead of a steady orange then turning off. I checked the connections to the DBALL and the RS 665, but I believe they were correct. The Civic uses installation type 3: ORANGE / black (12 pin harness) to pin #2, yellow/red to  pin #5 to ECM side, ORANGE / red to pin #5 to key side, red (+), and black (-), all in 14 pin harness, blue/white to ground while running output (BROWN / black from alarm) and pink to ignition (+) yellow from alarm, both in 10 pin harness.

So I connected the 10 pin, then 12 pin, then press the programming button, then 14 pin, and wait for the led to turn orange. Then release the programming button, and the led turns solid red. So I turned the key to the on position, but it flashes red instead of solid orange for 3 seconds and turns off. Was there something I missed?

Hope you got this working. I install remote starters pretty frequently and have had several issues with DEI bypasses and Hondas. It seems to be hit or miss. I've switched to idatalink bypasses for Hondas. I know that may not help you with the DBALL but I had similar issues with early model Hondas and recently a late model Accord. I have been using the idatalink ADS-AL instead and they program on the first try.

I tried the Honda SL2 bypass but same result. I called fortin and i was told to check the yellow wire to pin #6 connection. Otherwise I would have to get the SL3 instead....2001 Corolla S and 2005 Neon SRT 4 ACR.
