2000 audi a6 whine problem

hey guys! i installed a new jvc touch screen using the metra installation harness and kit. everything works but i have a whine as soon as i turn the deck on.it does not matter if the vehicle is running or not. any ideas

try running a separate ground to something metal close to the radio. a support beam would be great. sometimes metra will give you a ground wire in the harness but the same spot on the factory harness wont have a wire in it so you need to run your own ground. right now if that is the case, the radio is grounded through the antenna.

What other audio equipment do you have connected to the head unit....amp, eq? Try connecting all of them to the same "ground" point to avoid any loops. If that fails, the only way to avoid ground loops is to connect all "grounds" to the -ve terminal of the battery.

IT IS ALL FACTORY.. BOSE.. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS CHANGED IS THE HEAD UNIT.

70-1787 or 70-1784?   How loud do you have to turn the radio to reach your desired listening level?
