I have a 2009 Ford Explorer with a Audiovox Pursuit PRO-9776A alarm/remote start. Recently the parking lights stopped flashing when I either arm/disarm the car or remote start the car. All lights work normal outside of that. I was looking through the Audiovox install manual and the only thing I can think of is the in-line fuse may have blown for some reason. I can't readily check the fuse without taking some of the lower dash panels off and just wanted to see if there are any other possible reasons that the lights would have stopped flashing before I start pulling apart the car. Any help is appreciated. It is more an annoyance/inconvenience than anything.

No, fuse first then if that fails the connections.

After digging under the dash I found the in-line fuse and it was blown so I replaced it but still no parking lights when I remote start or arm/disarm. There is a really but can't tell what wires are coming out of it since everything is all taped/wrapped and don't want to start pulling all that apart. The relay is 154-1155 or S0829. Can't find anything saying what that really is for.

you need to figure out why the fuse popped before anything else. it probly popped as soon as you replaced it. trace the wires to the problem. pinched wire or bad connections somewhere. in my opinion, it sounds like you might want to have a local shop take over from here...

X 2 with cahlroach and why didn't I suggest it? Of course too obvious.

Ref the relay, probably your starter cut/antigrind and nothing to do with your problem.

Between your waiting for us to solve this problem like magic and you being adverse to looking yourself could I also suggest a trip to a specialist?

Look at the connection at the brain for the parking light plug. I bet it is curroded or burnt. I would take it to the place you had it installed at for them to look at it.

Usually that burnt plug only happens if the output wire isnt fused, and the input wire is in front of the main fuses. For some reason it will draw too much current if the fuse isnt located close by. I am thinking the fuse acts as a sort of heatsink to prevent it from scorching near the plug.
