i have a Viper 2 way 5701 alarm installed. my 2 way remote broke and i am left with the 1 way (black) FOB.. i seen the newer 2 way (5901) lcd fobs. can i order one of those and program it to my alarm? i don't know if they are interchangeable or not? and if not. how do i program a new 5701 2 way fob?

The prices for just a remote are outrageous. You can buy an entire Viper 5501 re-manufactured unit off FleaBay for $143 delivered. Comes with an LCD two-way remote and a five button one-way remote.
