dei 528t specs

I have read two different sets of specs of the DEI528T:

1) 15 Amp; 1-60 second timer

2) 30 Amp; 1-90 second timer

I can find sites that list either spec. I doubt that there are two different units since the part number is the same. The DEI Electronics installation pdf which is dated 2005 says 15A; 60 seconds. However you can go to ebay and find both specs for a DEI 528T.

I am guessing that this unit was redesigned at some point put I can't find any proof of this. Are some of these units made by DEI with one spec and then knockoffs that use the other spec?  I would like to have a 30amp 90 second unit if they really exist. Can anybody shed any light on this?

Funnily enough I always assumed 30 amp 90 second but according to the spec I just read it is 15 amp and 60 seconds. As an alternative could I suggest the 611t for 100 seconds?

hi, open the case on the 528t, replace the large electrolytic capacitor with one twice the value. you have 120 sec plus now. you could also disconnect the coil wires on the internal relay and wire them to an external one, that might have higher current carrying capabilities. mark

If you're going that far buy the Velleman kit which gives you up to 300

googled around to do it yoursef, pulsed timer relay using 555 timer, but then how to make circuit that receives a positive pulse, say around for 3 seconds when we press remote and then the circuit should go off automatically, so that the circuit should stay as it is when no pulse is received. I am not able to figure out the circuit, any one please no the cicuit by using relay SPDT 60 ampere relay to with stand high current.

Last poster, a 528t timer will do all you want for a lot less than building something.

grateful for information, I will search for 528T in India, the cost of shipping is too high from international shipping, almost 4 times the module itself. If I fetch in India, I will be luckiest, otherwise I will have to opt for ebay or amazon for buying or to resort for do it yourself module. But as you said my inclination towards buying as it is a proved product-528t.
