a newb with amp

Im looking to either replace my stock amp or add an additional amp to give my interior speakers a little more sound. Im not that skilled so the im looking for the easier route. I have a 04 acura TL. I replaced the front doors, tweeters, center channel and rear deck with infinity kappa speakers (all 2 ohm)a while back and kept the stock amp to power them. They sounded better but lacked any serious sound. I also have one 10" type-r in sealed box. For that i added a loc to the stock sub wiring. Im thinking that replacing the stock amp and rewiring all the speakers might be too much work for me. Instead, I was wondering if i could just add another 4 channel amp to power the interiors (the tweeters and front door speakers share the same line) Can I add something like ALPINE MRP-F300, take the speaker wires AFTER the oem amp for the doors/tweeters and rears, run them into my new 4 channel amp then back to the speakers and be done with it? I say after the oem amp b/c Ive read that the stock head units signal is too weak. Does it work like that?

No, if you want to add an amp you'll have to use it in place of the OEM amplifier.  I suggest visiting a local installer.Support the12volt.com

They make amplifier replacement harnesses for that car. Check with Metra...It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Just remove the stock amplifier, take the harness, and one by one find out which each wire does. Or try to find a schematic that will tell you. I plan on doing this to my Mercedes soon. You could also take out all your speakers and see the color codes on the wires going to them and try to match them up with the ones going to the amplifier, although some cars for whatever reason have the wires for the speakers spliced in with a different set of wires... 8 speaker stock bose system
