I saw this today on a fusion forum thought I'd share. I did confirm this today.

The actual sync module has a mini usb connector on top of the A type connector. there is no factory wire run to it but you can by a cable and put it anywhere you want.

The radio will display USB 2 when selecting the port.

on the fusion the module if located on the back side of the center console.

just clarification, the extra usb port is a usb mini B connector.
