I just wanted to get some input on what installers are charging to install a remote starter on a 2012 BMW 128i.
If anyone has done one. Please give me your input. Price and difficulty?
It will be my first 1 series that I will do. I'm pretty confident about that.
I know parts should be around 300. I will have to double check to make sure.
I will be using Int-bmw2 and the Evo-all. From the company ifar.
If anyone has other info I should know about, please inform me.
Thanks
Testing is the key

Just make sure that you have enough wraps around the key. Use the plastic valet key since you can concentrate the wraps around the head of the key. If you use the master key instead, use hot glue to keep the wraps in place and tape up the wires afterwards to ensure the wires won't slip down from the sweet spot where the transponder chip is.
We charge a minimum of $ 550 across the board for any BMW for a 1 way system because of the extra module that is required.

example of a bmw valet key bypass. the wires you see need to be ran through a relay so that it only gets read by the car during remote start.
