I've been out of the loop for awhile. Just installed a Python 5204 2 way using the XK09. Installation was surprising easy but have a few questions for those more experienced with this interface.

I've read the XK09 can control defroster and heated seats. If so, how do I control this? Does anything AUX outputs have to be hooked up or is this controlled by data?

If anyone can explain these functions, how to program, and control from the FOB I would greatly appreciate. Until then I guess I'll just keep playing with it.

Might be wrong but...

I don't believe the XK09 flashed with the DLPKGM firmware can control the Heated Seats, etc.  It is

not shown on the detailed function list.

The DLPK bypass module ( oem Fortin CAN-SL2 ) does do the Heated seats.  This function is listed in

the detailed function list.  However, there is no manual control.  They automatically come on when
the engine temp is below a certain temp ( 32 F ?? ) at remote start.

Soldering is fun!

Thanks for the quick reply.

The install guide on my xk09 says it supports heated seats and defroster on my xk09. I read elsewhere that it would only work if below 32 degrees. Today I put an icecube in a ziplock bag and placed directly on the thermocouple but was unable to get the seats and defroster to activate.

Does anyone have information on the trigger wires for the heated seats and defroster? I can link the aux outputs to trigger during remote start.

Also, where is the trigger for the headlights? I would like to hook to a timed aux output. I tried probing at the switches for the heated seats and defroster but my guess is its all data at the switch and will have to be triggered at the BCM.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
