Just installed a viper 5701 into the vehicle and everything seems to work fine except the dome light and puddle lights stay on for a few seconds and if I arm the alarm it beeps for the door ajar. Now I hooked up both the door trigger and dome light supervision to the BLACK/ light blue wire. Did I not do this part right?

You did good, now to get rid of that chirp you need to go into the viper 5701's programming menus and turn off "Door trigger error chirp" Its in menu 2 feature 4. After you do that you'll be good to go.

Can I access that option through the bit writer?

I also noticed if I use the one way remote and hold the aux button down the rear hatch will pop, but if I try it with the two way remote it'd beep three times and do nothing. I thought it might be a weak battery thing so I bought them but forgot to see if it did it or not.

Not sure about the remote function on the rear hatch release, but the bitwriter can definitely change that feature to off. just make sure at the end of programming, you set the remote selection to "0" then write.

I had the same problem and fixed it with 8 diodes and 4 resistors
When in doubt....kick it!
