having issue where the volume up button is changing the station and the volume with no real pattern. Anyone have this issue with an acura. what did you do to correct it.  Installing an interface so that the buttons control the aftermarket radio. Can a button replacement fix this issue or is it in the wire harness? again is only the volume up button.

thanks

Sit with the car idling, radio on. Press and hold the volume button as you turn the wheel. I bet you will find a few spots where the signal works and then doesn't. More than likely the clock spring assembly is dirty or corroded. Check to see if it can be taken apart and cleaned on an owner forum or I am sure someone will chime in with the answer. If it isn't, you may need to replace it. BE CAREFUL as this also transmits the signals to your airbag!

To master and control electricity is perfection. *evil laugh*
