Need to install a GPS Tracking device with a starter disable on a 2007 Pontiac G6.Since there is no starter wire present at the ignition switch, just wondering if there is one present inside vehicle and a location and color.
My last alternative would be under the hood but hope someone has another location inside vehicle. Thanks

This car uses GM's Passkey III system so it has no start wire in the ignition harness.   The BCM needs to see a certain sequence with the accessory and ignition wire to start the vehicle.
Unfortunately, you will have to go under the hood for this one.

There is one other option you can use. The BCM Start circuit looks for the acc. to drop out while the ign is still live to trigger the start. You can wire a relay with a diode to to the ign that will supply power to the acc. so there is no acc. drop out but you will need to have a ground when dis-armed to activate it(Start). Here's how to wire (ign. + (Diode)to relay 86 & 87a, 30 to acc. wire ,85 to switsced ground). When there is ground to relay start as normal. When no ground relay matains voltage from the ign. to the acc. (no start).

The only question is does this occur inside of the ign switch and sends from the ign switch to BCM through data.

The BCM monitors the ignition wires and starts (as you said) when ACC engages, then both ACC and IGN and finally drops ACC.
I never thought of doing the relay setup but I would change one thing on it. The tracker units usually send a negative signal to enable the starter kill relay similar to an alarm system. Therefore if the tracker fails or is removed, the car will still start.
Pin 85 and 87 - connect to the ignition wire
Pin 30 - connect to the accessory wire
Pin 86 - connect to GWA wire of tracker
When the GPS tracker sends negative to Pin 86, it activates the first side of the starter kill relay. Once you turn the key to ignition, it completes the circuit on the relay and prevents the accessory wire from losing power and hence no start.

I thought about that to, but the one caveat with that is if the tracker is disabled by a thief then so is the starter kill. So it's a matter of preference to what level of securuty he is trying to achieve.

FYI, by all rights disabling the tracker should stop the car from starting as the purpose of having a tracker to to locate the car if stollen. But if it won't start it will be where you left no tracker needed! Of course if they want the car bad enuff the would just tow it off, tracker or no tracker!

The wires you need are at the ign. Switch (ignition switch, green 6 pin plug, pin 3) and ACC. (ignition switch, green 6 pin plug, pin 4). Pins 5 & 6 should be the same color and are Data wires.
