2000 civic lx drivers lock issue

car:

2000 honda civic lx. 4 door. factory power locks but no factory keyless entry.

alarm:

scytek astra 4000rs

i have everything working properly. remote start. door trigger works on all 4 doors. dome light. parking lights.

the issue is with the drivers door lock/unlock.when i arm the system only the passenger doors lock. disarm same thing. only passenger doors unlock.i ruled out the driver door lock actuator being bad because it locks/unlocks fine (as well as the passenger doors) when the door is shut and i use the key to lock/unlock.

i have the lock wire from the alarm going to the GREEN / WHITE wire in the drivers kick panel where the keyless entry module is

i have the unlock wire from the alarm going to the GREEN/ orange wire in the drivers kick panel where the keyless entry module is..

has anyone else had this problem or possible know the fix to get all doors locking/unlocking at the same time?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Driver's door actuator. Using the key only moves the switch not the lock.

it also locks and unlocks fine when you hold the door handle out and press the door lock switch. pressing the switch activates the actuator correct?

No there is a switch, either separate i.e. key lock and or built into the motor that triggers the lock relays, all you're doing is physically moving the motor up and down activating the microswitch inside the motor. Remove the door panel and test bet your motor wires go live when you arm and disarm but no movement.

The only other possibility is a wire break going into the driver's door but I very much doubt it. I've had failed factory actuators on 3 vehicles of that age recently.

Ah confusing, in England Japanese versions, 3 door hatch and coupe needed an actuator until about 98. The sedan/saloon British built didn't. I thought of that Craig but assumed the US version would have one by then.

stupid question but are you checking this with the drivers door open or closed? lots of cars have a safety feature on the drivers door that wont let it lock if it is open.

X 2 with soundnsecurity, nearly all European cars have this feature, it's to stop you pushing the catch then slam locking the door whilst the keys are in the car. Answer, throw over the locking cam at the rear of the door and push in the dome light trigger. Also if I remember you can't lock the door with the key in the ignition.
