All depends on how they did they bypass.  It could be anything from a hidden  "wrapped" spare key, to a spare key in the box, to an actual  bypass module.   If the Ultra Starts' WHITE/ Violet wire is used, follow that.  Lock for a small black plastic box that  has wires running to the ignition switch.

If it is an actual bypass module, check to verify all the wires are securely attached ( soldered is preferred ).   Get the brand / model off the bypass module or a few pictures.  You might be able to re-program it to the Escape, but you will need two working keys to do it.
