Putting a keyless entry touch pad on the door of a 2012 Town and Country.  Any idea on resistor values and what wire to tag into?  Tried 330ohm and 100ohm.  Either the values are wrong or the wire isn't the correct wire.

Thanks.

well, what wire are you going to? the closest i can get to aa 2012 town and country is a 2009 and it lists PURPLE / green in the drivers door harness in the kick panel using the resistors you have listed.

Pull the lock switch and measure it directly.
You also need a good ground or relays to drive the resistors.

Times two with Howard on using a good chassis ground thru relays.

Info from Ready Remote :

Power Lock         PURPLE / Dark Green (base models)    (-) 330 ohms @ driver kick, door harness
Power Unlock     same as power lock        (-) 100 ohms
Except base models, use Light GREEN / WHITE at the passenger door lock switch or the Passenger Door Module,
black 10 pin plug, pin 4.

Soldering is fun!

the door panel is off.  the lock switch has windows, locks, etc all in one controller.  But only 3 wires coming from it and going to the main door module inside the door..  The main door module is easily accessible.  Not seeing the violet/drk green wire in the harness anywhere.  Not much info anywhere on the 2012's.

I looked up a 2012 Grand Caravan which is essentially the same and found it to list the violet/dk. green with those resistors, but it also had this note: "Except base models, use lt. GREEN / WHITE at the passenger door lock switch or the Passenger Door Module, black 10 pin plug, pin 4.".

The door boots are extemely hard to run a wire through.  hard to believe there is no wire in the driver door thats usable.  it also says its in the driver kick panel but there's only a zillion wires there.  need to narrow it down a tidge.  I couldn't locate it.

i know on some dodge cars the wires can be by the floor or very low in the kick panel. also with the wire being PURPLE / dk. green the dark green can blend in with the purple and be very hard to see. be patient and keep testing because you should not have to go into the door to find the lock wire.

it doesnt bother me to go inside the door on this one.  im installing a keyless entry touch pad on the driver door and so the panel has to be removed to add the back side of the button cluster.  have to drill a few holes and screw it together.  cant believe there isnt a wire inside the door to tag to..??

An absolute PITA to get into the doors if I remember.
Now let's think outside of the box.
You have window switches in the door.
Bet there's either an ACC or Ignition live feeding them.
Plus of course a ground.
Pick up the live feed inside the vehicle Driver kick panel, cut it and add a constant feed, 30 amp fused.
That gives you a constant, you will of course already have a ground at the window switches.
Take that as 86 on your relays, then 87 to ground 85 on each relay (assuming NEG (-) outputs) then 30 via the relevant resistors to the lock switch.
Job done.
