2007 colorado remote start

Hi, i recently installed a remote start in my 2007 chevy colorado as well as adding power locks. Everything is working however I noticed a few odd things. The truck is a 5 speed manual so I installed a manual remote start. When I put the RS into arm mode it honks my horn twice, thing is I never hooked up horn wire. Also on my gauge cluster the "low tire" warning comes on. the tires are fine and it goes away upon starting. I am hoping someone may have some ideas for me to try. I used audiovox's version of bypass http://documents.audiovox.com/700653.pdf. My only thoughts are that i need to diode isolate the bypass install. Any help greatly appreciated

the bypass can operate other functions through the data wire so that is why you are getting the horn trigger. did you connect the lock wires from the alarm to the bypass? the low tire warning could be due to something not connected right at the ignition harness, especially if the light goes out when you take over with the key.

Surely the by-pass won't be controlling the locks if the OP added aftermarket locks?

The locks were two wire models that are hooked up to a 2 relay pack and the lock and unlock wires from RS are controling these relays. They are not hooked up to bypass directly, no. I think I may try adding diodes to make sure the relays are not backfeeding into the trucks data wires.  I will also try calling the RS tech line tomorrow to see if they have any ideas. I just hate the thought of dealing with any customer service reps.   As a side note, when the RS goes into arm mode it is by hitting the lock button on remote. The parking lights flash 3 times, then the horn honks twice followed by low tire light.  I will try and find vehicle wiring diagrams to see if I can find any common point that could do this.  Common sense tells me the data bus but what do I know. i figure if the bypass is wired to the locks or is installed using D2D then that would explain why the horn blows, thats all. the bypass doesnt know that power locks were added so it just works like it normally would if it had power locks. plus you never know how people wire things up these days.

I have the same exact problem, did you find a fix for this?
