Just wondering....does anyone know why the viper brains come with this red strip across the connector?
None of the other brands i have dealt with are shipped like this.
figured i'd toss this out and see if anyone knows the answer.

usually its because the plug that goes into it can be plugged in the wrong way so it is a reminder to pay attention to to the plug.

I figuried its like a seal as to if it has been used or not.  I have notice it on all of the 2012 models I have used.  Seems like the ones with a 6 pin main harness vs past model with 12 pin main harness.  Just my opinion.
