Surely the tach signal will be the same whether the engine misfires or not.

Frankly, pre-check. If any DTC show or bad running, refuse the install or get a written waiver.

Has anyone ever run into the vehicle running rough after connecting the tach wire of the rs unit? Apparently the person I installed for said the misfire was being caused by the tach wire. Their mechanic cut it and apparently runs fine? Any thoughts on this?

To what was the TACH wire connected to on the Equinox? The DB-All should have taken care of the tach signal. Next ? What wire did the mechanic Cut?

Yes on Bosch based injection systems as used by VW and Euro GM.

Picked up at injectors and immediate idle problems.

Had to use 464 unit or pick up elsewhere.

Ok I may have messed up. I connected the tach wire from the rs module to the wire the vehicle info has listed bit I also connected it to the Db-all module. Do I only need it connected to the Db-all module?

Yes in this case only connect to the DB-All.
