I have just installed another one of these systems, this time in a '06 Jetta TDI.  The bypass module is ADS.  I got the bypass module programmed but the RS is not working.  I connected the two in data mode.  The issue I am having is that I am unable to flash the hood pin.  Even when powered up the first time the parking lights did not flash.  I have directly grounded the hood pin wire as well to rule out the switch with the same results.  With the hood closed the blue LED in the antenna flashes and with the hood open it stops.  The parking lights were wired using a relay as per the Direct Wire diagrams.  I checked the output voltage on the yellow parking lights wire as well and there is 0V when the lights are to be on.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check your bypass, I believe the unit you are using only does doorlock and will not bypass the security.
