ok, i have a viper 5901 on my frontier and i have an external shock sensor, glass-break sensor, and proximity motion sensor. i want to know what it the best way to wire all of these sensors to the single sensor port. i currently have all of them just wired together in parallel but something is not quite right because while it is armed i get warn away triggers every few minutes. i cant track down the exact source of the triggers because each sensor functions normally by itself.
i have the motion sensor warn "bubble" set to warn just outside the truck. and the full trigger bubble is set about 12 inches inside the window. the sensor is located under the center console next to the shifter. i also have a diode inline on the green wire in the ribbon cable which is the warn away wire i think, stripe towards the proximity sensor.
i cant tell which sensor is interfering because they all report as sensor 2 from being on the single sensor port.
yes, i know this is extreme overkill but i would like it to work. does anyone know what could be the problem or any way i could wire it differently.

I'm bloody well ashamed of you viper 5901 sensors galore, how to wire? -- posted image.
Why am I always telling rookies NOT to overdo the sensors.
Quantity does NOT equal quality.
Back in the Clifford days, the 600 UK came with a glass break and a dual zone prox. And those sensors (Clifford G4) were far better quality than today's product.
We left off the glass breaks because the warn-away was triggering them!
That's your clue.
Try disconnecting one at a time.

yea yea, i know, as stated i know its overkill. its more of a demo to customers if i can get it working right. it works fine if i disconnect the proximity sensor. im thinking that the proximity sensor would be the least likely cause because it is closed off inside my truck in a still environment. thats why i think there is some sort of interaction going on. perhaps the ultrasonic waves from the proximity sensor are setting off the glassbreak? i dont know if thats even possible because i dont know the upper range of the glass break sensors microphone.
do you think it would help if i diode isolate every trigger wire coming from each sensor?

Actually I don't see why easier to test each sensor individually when the others are disconnected.
The theory is that the audio frequency from the dual zone prox sets off the glass break.
Alternatively try leaving out the glass break sensor, I've never liked that current type, seemingly poor adjustment, nothing between min and max.

yea that was actually something i just thought of. i just remembered reading that the prox sensor uses high frequency audio and it hit me that the glassbreak is designed to detect high frequencies. i havent had the opportunity to test that theory. ill plug up the proximity sensor and unplug the glassbreak and see what happens. maybe i can re-position the sensors and fix the problem.

No point repositioning the prox if it works properly.

yea but i could move it farther away from the glassbreak which would probably be an even better spot because it would be in the direct center of the truck at the back of the center console instead of almost under the radio as is it now. the only reason i have it there is because i ran out of wire. i might do it just to see what happens.

Funny, can't tell you how often I've had to extend the 508d loom from my usual roof position. It's about 2' too short.
