I finally have a Saab brther!!!
I just installed a DEI 554T remote start in my 99 SAAB.
There are small difference in our models but if you have any questions just ask.
Comments: There is not a lot of space to install modules, sensors etc. So you may have to mount some under dash, under seat, carpet and center column. You stated that the Alarm is disconnected. Is it the fctory alrm?? Is that possible without losing other functions and features? (The TWICE MODULE- Under Seat Contains most of your wiring). It is possible to integrate both. Do you you have an immobilzer? That should be part of your factory alarm package.
If you can post your wiring diagram and i will inform you how and where to access the wires. Ignition and starter wires are very thick and have little play to pull them.
Good Luck
MACK
