Went to look at an A3 Audi with a 5704, DB-ALL as D2D and 556U.
Manual transmission.
Installed by my new working partner about 3 months ago.
The R/S, lock/unlock via the remote (although it turns on the alarm) and hatch release all suddenly not working.
Today I changed the DB-All, still the same.
Hood, door and 508d all work.
Go into m/transm. reservation mode; flashes, remove the key and everything dies.
Set it up for auto, hold down the clutch and ....nothing, not even the gauges.
We know it's accepting parking brake and foot brake commands because if you ignore them the remote blows a raspberry
Any thoughts and yes, could you would you dare to W2W one?.

I take it the w2w install is brutal if your are asking that question. Without seeing it the answer is yes of course hard wiring is always the better option. At least there is something to test. I have a feeling you have already had this conversation with yourself. I assume you tried the basics, check ground, fuses, and resetting the remote brain? (ala audiovox intermittant lockup) Aside from those things I am clueless problems with an 09 audi a3 -- posted image.

To master and control electricity is perfection. *evil laugh*

We've done all the obvious tests and come to the conclusion it's either the alarm or there's a problem with the DB-ALL software, 2nd. DB-ALL by the way.
We've also noticed that DEI withdrew the install instructions for all VW cars.

in manual mode you have to do all the process to let the car in neutral, if you shift to auto, you skip the process, but you still have to bypass the clutch, audi and bmw are tricky to by pass the cluth, you have to make see it the wire voltage or resistence use a relay to bypass the clutch, most 5speed cars don;t start if they don;t see it the clutch input.

Don't worry we've tied it down to a faulty 5704 ECU.
If it initially works correctly, then you ain't done nothing wrong.
Not for you dare but for some of the amateurs out there, if it doesn't initially work you HAVE done something wrong.
