fm antenna boosters make a difference?

I'm curious if someone has experience with any worth while fm antenna boosters. I remember a friend had one about 20 years ago and it amplified his current stations, but did little to pull in others. Will any boosters help pull in or improve stations as I drive around all the hills and valleys of western PA?

Sat. Radio . , Nobody is working on AM/FM any more . Sorry . Ever antenna booster I've seen did very little , other than get moneyout of your wallet.
